At Chatsworth we aim to encourage our students to:
Learn through work by providing opportunities for them to learn from direct experiences of work
Learn about work by providing opportunities to develop knowledge and understanding of work and employability
Learn for work by developing skills for enterprise and employability
Interact with a wide range of people
We offer a range of practical, work-related activities that help prepare students from across the school for the future. These are clearly mapped to the current curriculum frameworks and lead to clear learning outcomes. These activities include work experience, life skills sessions, visits and practicing work skills at school in our vocational suite which incorporates a: student run shop; café; bank; office and, offsite weekly work experience in local businesses. Our aim is for those students who are able to; they eventually progress to employment or supported employment and training.
