Lledr Hall Outdoor education residential

Seventeen students, from across Key Stage 3 and 4, made the trip to Snowdonia National Park ready for five action packed days of adventure.

On a sunny Monday morning, the group headed out from school to Lledr Outdoor Education Centre, making a pit stop en route, in Colwyn Bay for a picnic.

Once they arrived at their destination, they met their amazing Lledr team Nikki and Graham, and got 'kitted up' in the boot-room.  Monday evening meant a lovely stroll through the hills, where students met the locals (the sheep), skimmed stones and worked on their singing.

Tuesday it was 'surfs up' on Llanberis beach, with students body boarding, building sandcastles and making a splash in the welsh sea. The fun continued on Wednesday with the low ropes assault course, a gorge walk through the rocky river and, of course, lots more splashing in the Lledr lake!

As if the gang weren’t wet enough, Thursday's trip was to a lake at the bottom of electric mountain for canoeing.  As always, the race was on to make it across the lake for ice-cream, but this year the real competition was seeing who could balance on their boat and sing "heads, shoulders, knees and toes!"  And the singing didn’t stop there, as that night they rounded off an amazing week with Disco Night!

The students did Chatsworth proud; being brave, adventurous and diving into every activity (sometimes literally) head first! A huge well done to all of them for being so determined, having fun and not letting anything stand in their way, and of course thank you to all of the Chatsworth staff for supporting the trip…even through all the splashing! Until next year!
